Reverend Daniel Merry
Interim Executive Director
Lisa had always hoped God’s plan for her would involve work with Crestfield, and after years as a camper in her youth, and establishing a faith-based youth camp, she joyfully had her hopes fulfilled. Lisa and her husband Paul live in Bradford Woods, PA with their six children. Lisa is a Duquesne University graduate with a BS in music education and a Master’s degree in school psychology. She is energized by the opportunity to combine her enthusiasm for camp and others with her love of Christ and finding it in the world around us.
With the Jordan Run flowing through her backyard, Marla and her family love their new home in New Galilee, PA. Marla and her husband Jeff have four sons: Ryan, Adam, Justin, and Ethan, two cats: Earl and Barbosa, and one dog: Bella. She has been serving at Crestfield since March of 2016 as Registrar and enjoys helping people plan their visits to Crestfield. While she may not always have the opportunity to meet the people she helps, she knows that after their visit they will have experienced God in a new way. Marla enjoys the overall team effort of the Crestfield staff to make everyone who visits feel welcome and wanted as part of the ministry. You can ask her about any questions you may have, and she will help you find the answer.
Buildings and Grounds Keeper / Challenge Course Director
Mike and his wife Becky take joy in living at Crestfield with its quiet surroundings. They have four children: Tyler, Megan, Abbey, and Emma. For the past ten years, Mike has served at Crestfield as the Buildings & Grounds Keeper and Challenge Course Director and appreciates the diversity in his daily responsibilities. His favorite thing about the ministry of Crestfield is that it gives campers and guests a sacred space to reset their busy lives as well as renew and refresh their faith. Outside of work Mike fuels his competitive spirit with his love of sports and games. He also loves movies and going to the beach.
When he’s not at Crestfield, Jeremiah lives with his family in Bethel Park, PA. In his past four years at Crestfield, he has served in a variety of capacities, most recently as Bookkeeper and Program Assistant. Jeremiah loves making people smile at camp, and that can be seen in his exceptional hospitality as well as in his exceptional silliness with campers. He enjoys that Crestfield is a place to connect people to Jesus. If you were to ask him about what he does in his free time, his answer is almost always, “sports, food and sleep.” He especially loves the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Living within walking distance of her church is one of Jessica’s favorite things about her home in Parker, PA. Her and her husband Randy have two children: Gabriel and Chloe, three dogs, and one cat. Jessica has served as the Housekeeper at Crestfield since June of 2015 and enjoys having flexible hours that allow her to work at her own pace. She loves getting to be a small part of someone’s camp experience and knowing they enjoyed a relaxing time in nature and growing closer to God during their stay. In her free time, Jessica enjoys watching movies with her family and helping at her church.
Food Services Manager
Kent loves living in Harrisville, PA because of its small town feel. He began serving at Crestfield in October of 2016 as a Kitchen Assistant, moved to Lead Cook, and currently serves as Food Services Manager. Kent’s favorite thing about his role at Crestfield is that things change daily. He enjoys that there are always different meals to cook and different sized groups to cook them for. Kent also loves that he can serve Jesus in his work and hopefully bring others to Him through his service. When Kent isn’t cooking, you can find him playing disc golf or volunteering with the children’s program at his church.
